Weekend Project: Watercolor Butterfly

I’m not sure about you, but I am so ready for spring!

Let’s get ready for spring by painting a colorful butterfly! As I was researching types of butterflies to paint, I was amazed by all of the patterns and colors. God is truly the greatest Creator!

I finally decided on this species- the Blue Pansy. This butterfly is native to Asia, Africa, and Australia. I love the orange ‘eye-spots’ on the outer parts of the wings, and the bright blue colors!

In this class, we will start by learning a few basic watercolor techniques and get to know our brush. Then we will begin painting our butterfly. No experience needed. This is a beginner level class, although anyone at any level of painting experience will have fun. All supplies provided for use during class. Water provided. Bring any snacks or drinks you would like (please no alcohol). All ages welcome, although this is not necessarily a "kid's class." Parents, you know your kids well, and I trust your judgement to know if they are ready for a workshop.

Location note: the address is 16762 FM455 Forestburg, Tx 76239. Location apps do not usually accurately pin our church, so (if you're local) the LifeChurch 2:42 building is attached to the Country Store. If you're not local, we are near the corner of Spring St and FM 455.
